A good Strad holds lt’s value and in some cases, they increase in value!
Excellent Condition for its age. It has normal wear and tear. No dents, It does have the normal scratches and nic here and there. You see the typical spider scratches on the silver. My new horn is Lacquer. I don’t like the upkeep of silver! I tried to get the nicks to show in the photos but they would not. The Valves are perfect! Very Fast! I hardly had to oil them. This is a solid upper tier Cornet! It is loud and proud! It is the horn and the case. The case is in Perfect Condition. Blessing 7C Mouthpiece.

One thing about Cornets, they are mouthpiece sensitive! Much more than trumpets. I will ship this horn with a Blessing 7C Mouthpiece. You need to take the horn in to a dealer and play a 3C and 5C. With this horn, I played it with a Gold Classic Denis Wick 3B. This is mouthpiece is big in the UK for brass bands. The DW 3B for “ME” made the Strad REALLY DARK and FULL!
I am replacing this horn with a new Getzen Eterna 800L-B4-WC. This has a Copper Bell and is a .462 bore. The Denis Wick 3B on the 800 is REALLY dark. It makes the horn sound like a flugle. For normal playing, I went with the Bach 5C. I carry 5 mouthpieces. If I get tired, I go down to the 7C. LOL One must do what one must do!
